Overland Park, KS — August 30, 2024 — I am pleased to announce that Kava Equity Partners, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, has completed the acquisition of majority shares in Arrowhead Contracting, a leading federal contracting company in the environmental remediation and construction industries.
This investment in Arrowhead equips us with the essential resources to drive further growth and expansion, while also enhancing our ability to serve both our federal and commercial clients more effectively. Arrowhead's seasoned leadership team will remain at the helm, ensuring stability and continuity for both clients and employees. Furthermore, Arrowhead's strong core team will be further bolstered by the addition of key staff members as we push toward strategic growth. The only noticeable change resulting from the partnership is a minor update to our name — which will change from Arrowhead Contracting, Inc., to Arrowhead Contracting, LLC — and it will be business as usual.
Already a Native American-owned company, Arrowhead will now be Tribe-owned and will maintain its small-business status. Thus, this partnership brings an increased ability to capture revenue through additional small business programs. Kava Equity Partners also brings additional financial backing to assist with continued advancement, having invested in Arrowhead due to our track record in the federal contracting market and our shared cultural identity as Native American-owned.
