At Arrowhead, nothing is more important than ensuring the health and safety of our employees , our clients, and the communities where we work. Every project begins with a site-specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) and a culture of accountability that permeates every task. Our teams are trained to meet and exceed OSHA standards and federal safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials, PPE compliance, and radiological protection.
We maintain full readiness to perform under the most demanding site conditions — including in environments that require strict hazardous waste and protection controls. Across our federal portfolio, Arrowhead’s proactive safety management and disciplined field protocols have consistently resulted in zero lost-time incidents and safety performance metrics well below the industry average.
That’s Built to Last Arrowhead applies the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control System across all applicable projects, ensuring that construction, remediation, and system installations are done right the first time. Our quality management plans cover everything from materials inspections to subcontractor oversight and are tailored to the unique regulatory and technical requirements of each project.
Under the USACE Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) contracts in both the Kansas City and Omaha districts, we’ve successfully delivered multi-phase remediation and site restoration projects — each with stringent QC deliverables, field testing requirements, and third-party verification. Our QA/QC teams document every definable feature of work and perform corrective actions in real-time, minimizing rework and ensuring long-term compliance.
Arrowhead employs advanced project management systems that integrate scheduling and document control platforms to monitor real-time performance. These systems support transparent reporting, cost control, risk mitigation, and client collaboration. Our team has applied these systems under large, long-term contracts, managing multiple task orders across NASA centers, Department of Defense bases, and more. We provide centralized reporting on cost, schedule, and contractor performance — meeting stringent space agency standards for documentation, health and safety, and quality assurance. Our systems allow us to scale effectively across geographically diverse sites without compromising performance.
Arrowhead understands that construction schedules are often time-critical . We develop and maintain detailed project schedules using critical path method (CPM) analysis and manage float carefully to keep milestone dates secure. Our field teams communicate continuously with project controls staff to resolve delays proactively and maintain momentum.
At the Newton County Mine Tailings Site, Arrowhead successfully managed excavation and transport of over 1.5 million cubic yards of contaminated material over a multi-year period. This high-volume project demanded close coordination with repository operations, trucking logistics, and regulatory reviews — all of which we delivered on schedule, despite weather challenges and thorough community coordination requirements.
