Arrowhead’s scope includes the excavation of radiological and heavy metal-contaminated soils from 11 distinct areas. Excavated material from CTS-1 is transported to CTS-2 for processing through a specialized soil sorting system designed to reduce the volume requiring off-site disposal. Following sorting and verification sampling, contaminated soils were transported more than 570 miles to an approved disposal facility.
Throughout the project, Arrowhead implemented real-time dust and radiological monitoring, maintained erosion and stormwater controls, and coordinated with local authorities to manage traffic and minimize community disruption. All excavation, backfill, and site restoration activities were supported by detailed digital mapping, elevation surveys, and sampling plans. Prescriptive revegetation was performed using native plant species compatible with the high-desert environment.
This task order demonstrates Arrowhead’s expertise in radiological remediation, remote site logistics, soil processing, and stakeholder coordination within tribal jurisdictions—all executed with a strong focus on health, safety, and compliance.
